	The GED was developed in 1942 as a way for returning Army veterans to procure civilian jobs.

	More than 15 million people have received the GED since its' inception.

	The GED test is also made available in French, Spanish and even braille.

	You can still take the GED test even if you live outside Canada or the United States.

	At one time, there was a college level GED test program but has since been discontinued.
